English Words Designed As Their Minimalist, Graphical Arabic Translations


In early 2016, Egypt-based graphic designer-cum-architect Mahmoud Tammam initiated his personal project ‘Arabic Letters’. It was his fascination with word manipulations that motivated him to translate 40 English words into their minimalist, graphical Arabic equivalents.

Now a year later, Tammam has launched a follow-up to the original series with ‘Arabic Letters 2’ – dedicated to more English words translated into his beautiful native language.
